Garmin Forerunner 305 and Ubuntu

I am running quite often so several months ago I bought Garmin Forerunner 305. It is an quite useful equipment for running and now I like it very much. But I do not want to advertise it.

Recently I have completely moved to Ubuntu because ... there are many reasons but I could not use Garmin under it (there is software which gathers data and communicates with trainer). I also have got some software which is usable only under Windows.

The solution to this problem is VirtualBox and for example WindowsXP. And this tandem works great, but after installation of Garmin Trainging Center my trainer have not worked.

The final solution to this problem is GARMIN Forerunner 301 sync with Virtualbox and Ubuntu 9.04 and it is working great :)

"forget about forgetting"

"forget about forgetting" is a main think from international page of SuperMemo (there is also a polish version of SuperMemo webpage).

why am I writing about it?
I used to use SuperMemo, I am using SuperMemo and I will use SuperMemo. This soft has made me learn everything in an easy way (especially languages - natural and computer).
Only you have to run this program and ... review cards which were planned for next session, after that learn new cards and finally repeat all those which caused you a problem.
Simple, isn't it? For me there is one problem: you have to run this program everyday, you have to be thorough and patient.

What is important this soft is for free. You can download it here. But there is only version for Microsoft Windows. I also found a version for Android on Android Market but I haven't tested it yet. There is lack of version for Linux (you have to run on Wine).

If you want to use such a soft on Linux there is one Open Source program. His name is anki. Now I'm using this soft on my Ubuntu and on Microsoft Windows Vista and both versions are very good.

this note is a very brief note about what both programs can do and if you want to get to know some more information about them please study help - there is a great knowledge about both.
